The goal of our senior design project is to create a circuit drawing, web-based application that allows users to draw visually appealing circuit diagrams both intuitively and easily. Our client, Professor Andrew Bolstad, currently creates his lecture slides using PowerPoint; however, he has found that the task of creating circuit diagramis in PowerPoint is both too time consuming and labor-intensive. Therefore, we are creating a circuit drawing application that will be tailored primarily to the needs of our client. This application will be intuitive for users to use, it will have circuit labels for each component, all circuit diagrams will have the option to be saved, and there will be an educational tab that elaborates on various circuit components for users to learn more about circuit theory.

This website application will not only be a tool for students inside Professor Bolstad’s class to use, but it will be a tool for any students willing to learn about circuit theory. We hope to create both an efficient circuit drawing website and an educational resource that will teach students the fundamentals of circuit theory and application.
